Kali-Con ~ by Kali Willows

A little about myself, my name is Kali Willows. I write paranormal, romance, erotic, contemporary, fantasy & sci-fi and more. Most of my fiction writing revolves around my love of dragons, gargoyles & everything paranormal. I strive to create epic tales of romance and inspiration, while mixing it up with elements of suspense and psychological twists wherever possible.

My current release is a part of the remarkable Between the Tides anthology. I count my blessings to be invited into such an extraordinary group of talented authors. While this anthology currently available until September 2019, my story from it; Treasured Tails of the Heart, will be available in the fall in eBook and print! This was my first story of writing about water shifters and I was completely drawn in.

I have something exciting to share with you! Not only am I an author and graphic artist, I’m also an event planner and public relations specialist. We have our second annual reader’s event coming this fall and I would love to see you all there! My prize creation is called KaLiCon.

KaLiCon is a Canadian event with a twist that gathers lovers of ALL books, all genres and characters together to bring books to life on Canadian soil. Quickly becoming a highly coveted event for readers and authors of all genres, it will be an event you don’t want to miss.

Our goal is to build a stronger reading and writing community. With the intention of having something for everyone, there will be genres for all ages, and mapped out for easy browsing for the public.

This year will be our second annual Booklovers Convention, and it is jam-packed with three days and nights of exciting panels, workshops and social events.

The inspiration behind KaLiCon is the exciting opportunity to join the reading and writing communities in a fun, innovative environment that celebrates literacy and the love for it. Ontario offers some really well-done book conventions, however, we need more.

We are extending author registrations to authors of ALL GENRES and promoting this event to the public as such. When families walk through the door during the book signing, we want to provide a wide variety of books and genres so there is something for everyone!

The book community is like family to me, and what better way to celebrate than in person with a huge party? Some authors attending I have had the privilege of knowing and working with for years, and others, I’m thrilled to finally get a chance to know. My favourite part of every book event is meeting the readers in person and giving them an unforgettable experience that enhances their love of books.

We are working hard to bring a few WOW factors to the event for the love of our readers. Let’s just say, our tagline of “BRINGING BOOKS TO LIFE,” we are taking to a whole new level!
